PEOPLESOFT PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

New York, NY 100017

Expected Duration:  3 yrs.

 

Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of SQL/Plus, Application Designer, SQR, Crystal, PeopleCode, Application Messaging and DMS scripts.
• Good understanding of UNIX shell script commands.
• Good understanding of the Application Server, Process Scheduler, and Web Logic server in Unix and NT environments.
• Fluent in English; other UN languages an asset.
• In-depth understanding of the perspectives and needs of the customers for owned software component(s) support
• Experience in software requirements gathering and use case development
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• Strong command of standard desktop software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Proven ability to effectively manage tasks and activities.
• Prior working experience in the provision of 24X7 production support service.
