AIX System Administrator

McLean, VA

 6 + months

Skill level:                

Senior (7+ yrs)

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of IBM p5/p6/p7 server architecture and AIX 5.3/6.1 operating system
Can work independently to
                        •install/configure/performance tune/support AIX on Power platforms,Virtual IO Servers, HMC (Hardware Maintenance Console)
                        •create and configure LPARs.  
                        •support, performance tune enterprise databases  (UDB and Oracle)
                        •Experience installing database software, preferably DB2 and/or Oracle
                        •Experience with trouble-tracking software such as REMEDY
                        •Experience with backup/restore software such as TSM
                        •Experience with NIM
                        •Experience with GPFS
                        •Experience with EMC Power Path
                        •Installed and configured Cluster
                        •Systems Management (CSM)
